| 1. Are you going
to need your flesh body in heaven?
- Galatians 5:17
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:
and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that
ye would.
- Romans 8:8
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
- 1 Corinthians 15:50
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of
God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
2. But Paul said in 1 Thessalonians
4:17 that we are going to join the Lord in the clouds.
I am not going to argue with this
verse because the subject is "where are the dead" not "what is
going to happen to the living."
1 Thessalonians 4:13
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning
them which are asleep, that
ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
I will let Paul dispute it
from his second letter to the Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
- 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and
by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor
by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the
day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling
away first,
and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that
he is God.
3. God does have something
to say about the "fly away doctrine:"
- Ezekiel 13:20
20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am
against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly ,
and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls
that ye hunt to make them fly.
4. But if the rapture is not a true
doctrin, why would God allow us to believe in it?
The rapture doctrine is not in the
Bible, the word rapture is not in the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God. The
rapture doctrin is a teaching of man that has become so widespread that it is
rarely challanged by most Christians.
Here is something on why God allows
the majority of Christians to believe false doctrine. I am sorry this is so long
but I just couldn't cut it any shorter and keep it's meaning.
-
2 Thessalonians
2:6-14
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with
the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after
the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the
truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God
shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all
might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks
alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the
beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief
of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our
gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. If all of this is true, why isn't
the Church mentioned after Revelation Chapter 3?
You are not going to like to hear
this. When is the Church not the Church? When it is not worshiping the true Christ
but the Anti-Christ. Then the Church is called "the whore" by God.
With the majority of the Church waiting
for the "any-minute" rapture to take place, and waiting for Christ to
come and rapture them away Anti-Christ (Satan) will have no problem deceiving
the Church into believing that he is Christ. At that point the Chruch will "fall
away" as mentioned by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:3
3 Let no man deceive you by any
means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling
away first,
and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
But why Satan? I thought he was
ugly, had two horns and wears a red suit?
- 2 Corinthians 11:12-15
12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which
desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
13 For such are false apostles,
deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles
of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan
himself is transformed
into an angel of
light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the
ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Here is an image of Revelation 17:16 with some of the symbolism explained.
