Strictly the author's opinion: When you read in the Bible about a golden reed used to measure something, consider a modern day tape measure. How would a prophet from 2000 years ago describe a metal tape measure? The curvature of a metal tape measure resembles the curvature of a reed and being yellow I don't see any other way it could have been described. One day when I started using a new metal tape measure, when I pulled the tape measure out a couple of feet I realized that this had to be the "golden reed". |
